IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) will be conduct IBPS PO 2023 Exam for the post of Probationary Officers in different public sector banks in India.

There are 11 public sectors for which IBPS CRP PO/MT CRP-XIII 2023 is conducting exam. As per the IBPS calendar 2023 these are following important dates for IBPS PO 2023 Exams that has been released.

IBPS PO Notification 2023

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) will release the Notification of IBPS PO 2023 Exam in August 2023 on their official website. That notification will contain all the complete details for IBPS PO 2023 Exam.

 

IBPS PO 2023 Exam Date Out:

There are 11 public sectors for which IBPS  is conducting exam. As per the IBPS calendar 2023 these are following important dates for IBPS PO 2023 Exams. The registration process will be online and the date for the same will be released by IBPS in August 2023.

IBPS PO Vacancy 2023:

The Notification PDF for IBPS PO will be released on the official website along with the IBPS PO Vacancies. IBPS PO 2023 Online Application:

The registration process will be held through online mode on the official website of IBPS which is ibps.in. The registration date will be released soon. There will be a short duration of time for the online registration process of IBPS PO 2023. 

Things should be completed for the application process:

-Required fee

– Uploading of signature

– Photographs

 -IBPS PO Handwritten Declaration

The 3-tiered selection process consists of Preliminary and Main Exams which will be conducted online, followed by Interviews. Candidates have to clear each exam to get shortlisted then only he/she can progress to the next selection step. The final selection will be based on Mains and Interview merit.

Candidates applying online must have the following pre-requisites:

– A valid Email Id

– Photograph and Signature scanned in the prescribed size

– Application Fee must be paid online

IBPS PO 2023 Application Fee:

– The application fee must be paid online.

-If the fee once paid will not be refunded on any account.

-Fees cannot be held in reserve for any other examination or selection

IBPS PO Educational Qualification:

There is an eligibility criteria for IBPS CRP Exam. If the student fit for those eligibility criteria, can only sit in the Exam.

Graduation Degree:

Candidate have to be graduate (BA, BCom, BSc, B. Tech or as such) from a recognized University. Only then he/she will be eligible for IBPS PO 2023 Exam. Make sure that candidates have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that state that they are a graduate on the day they register for this exam.

Computer Literacy:

The IBPS PO 2023 Exam will be conducted in online mode, so it is compulsory that the candidate should have a good understanding of computer system, for the job as well.

Language Proficiency:

-The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the official language of the State/ UT. 

-Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT is desirable

Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants:

A candidate applying for IBPS PO Examination must be one of the following:

  1. Citizen of India
  2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
  4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in their favor.

IBPS PO Age Limit:

There is age limit for the IBPS PO 2023 candidate. Please go through the below mentioned points for better understanding:

-Age should not be less than 20 years old

-Age should not be more than 30 years old. I

IBPS PO Recruitment 2023:

Common Recruitment Process (CRP) was started in 2011 is a process for recruiting officers and clerks in Indian bank. Every year Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited through CRP, which is commonly known as the IBPS PO exam. There are three phases in total (preliminary, mains and interview) and the candidate have to clear each of them to proceed to the next phase. Following are the important steps of the IBPS PO Recruitment Process:

  • Online Preliminary Examination:

An adequate number of candidates in each category are shortlisted by IBPS depending upon marks  for Online Main Examination

  • Online Mains Examination:

Candidates must qualify this section as well  to be eligible for the interview.

  • Interview:

The interview will be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS

Final Result:

The Final result of IBPS PO 2023 will be declared on the basis IBPS PO Mains and Interview Rounds. Selected Candidates shall be cons for appointment subject to Medical Fitness.

  • Provisional Allotment:

The provisional allotment is a type of document that contain the name of IBPS PO candidate who have been provisionally allotted to the bank. IBPS will release the provisional allotment of selected candidate. According to candidate’s preference, the IBPS Banks are allotted. After the Provisional allotment, the selection procedure lies with the respective banks. Those respective banks will inform the candidates about the joining dates and procedures.

IBPS PO 2023 Exam Pattern:

Probationary Officers will be hired on the basis of online exams,  Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam and an Interview round. 

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2023:

There will be separate sectional timing for each section in the preliminary exam

The minimum cut-off marks will be decided by IBPS. Candidates have to clear in each of the three tests by getting minimum cut-off marks.

Following are some important points for IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2023:

 

Total Section: 3

Duration of IBPS PO Prelims Exam:1 hour and 20 minutes for each section

Mode of Examination: Online

Total Number of Question: 100

Maximum score: 100 Marks

Marks deducted for each wrong answer: 0.25

 

The IBPO PO Main:

-It has 5(4+1) sections

-Total score of 200+25 marks

-Total duration of 180+30 minutes

-Mode of Exam-Online.

IBPS will be conducting a descriptive paper in its mains exam for the post of Probationary Officer to selection of candidates It is necessary to qualify both preliminary and mains examinations. Then only he/she will be eligible for the interview process.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:

One fourth marks will be deducted for each wrong answers marked in both Preliminary and Mains exams. No penalty for leaving a question blank.

 

IBPS PO Interview

Qualified candidate of the mains exam are called for a face to face interview.

Generally, interviewer ask questions to the candidates about themselves, banking sector, current affairs, general awareness, etc.

 

Things should be considered:

-The candidates must be well dressed,

-Candidate have to be confident and Calm.

-Don’t forget to carry all required documents to the interview.

Note:

Maximum marks: 100

The minimum qualifying mark in the interview: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

Duration on interview: generally, 15-20 minutes long

Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam:

The final score for the IBPS PO exam is calculated on the basis of:

  • Marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) will not be considered in the final score and are only for qualifying to Mains Exam (Tier-2).
  • Candidates must qualify for Phase-2 and Interview separately to be eligible for final merit.
  • The weightage (ratio) of IBPS PO Main exam and interview for the final merit list will be 80:20 respectively.
  • The aggregate score out of 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with top merit rank in each category are finally selected.

This comprises of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language

IBPS PO 2023 Salary

The initial in-hand salary of an IBPS Probationary Officer is Rs. 52,000 to 55,000 with dearness allowances, special allowances, other benefits. IBPS PO Exam Centre

While filling the application form candidate can prefer the venue. If there is a non-availability of seats at preferred venues, IBPS may allot an exam centre other than the choices made by a candidate. After that it can’t be changed.

IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training

Pre-examination training or a orientation session for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates may be arranged by The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations at certain centres according to the guidelines of the Government of India. There they will tell the candidate about types of questions, common mistakes, tips for time management, best practices, basic tricks and strategies by experts from training institutes. The main objective of this orientation session is to provide a level to students from weaker sections and make them aware of commons aspects and recruitment process of the exam. IBPS PO Prelims Exam Syllabus 2023 comprises of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language.

There will be three sections for the IBPS PO Prelims Exam: English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The question paper will carry 30 marks for English, 35 marks for Quantitative Aptitude, and 35 marks for Reasoning. Preliminary Examination will last 60 minutes.
