According to the recent update, the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) for all non-gazetted posts (Group B and C) under the Railway Recruitment Board has been introduced by the union cabinet. The RRB NTPC exam consists of three stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, and Skill Test. Below, you can find the detailed RRB NTPC Exam Pattern
RRB CBT 1: It consists of 3 sections- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and Mathematics. It is compulsory to qualify CBT 1 Exam to appear for CBT 2 Exam. Read out the following information:
General Awareness section includes 40 questions.
Mathematics and Reasoning will comprise 30 questions.
Each question carries one mark
25 marks were deducted for each incorrect answer.
Candidate will have only 90 minutes to attempt the entire paper.
RRB CBT 2: Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 have a similar exam pattern, only the level and number of questions are increased.
General Awareness section includes 50 questions.
Mathematics and Reasoning will comprise 35 questions.
One mark for each correct answer.
1/3rd mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
Candidate will have only 90 minutes to attempt the entire paper.
There are three stages for RRB NTPC Selection Process. The three stages are CBT 1, CBT 2, and Skill Test. It is compulsory to clear all three stages for NTPC jobs.
Aspirants will be selected based on the marks scored in CBT 1 and CBT 2 whereas the third stage will be qualifying in nature. It is mandatory to pass all three stages, only then you will be eligible for the document verification and medical test.
NOTE:
For the post of Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, or Commercial Apprentice, candidates do not have to appear for test sets test.
They will have to appear for two-stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination.
Applicants who have successfully submitted the application forms will be eligible to download their hall tickets from the official website by entering their registration number and date of birth. Please make sure that you have your RRB NTPC Admit Card while entering the examination hall, otherwise you will not be allowed to sit in the exam.

RRB NTPC Salary consists of multiple slabs for different posts. Basic salary of Rs. 18,000 per month for RRB NTPC Candidates along with additional allowances such as Dearness allowance (DA), Daily Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Allowance for Night Duty, Medical Facilities, and Overtime Allowance.
